The amount we pay when you claim is called the indemnity. The percentage of indemnity on our policies typically ranges from 70% to 90% of the covered debt. The variation depends on the policy you select, how you manage credit terms, the state of your accounts, your receivables portfolio and your premium target. When you set up your policy we’ll work out some examples to guide you.
We aim to make a claim payment within 30 days from receipt of all the relevant claim documents and the expiry of any applicable waiting period. The same applies to export losses caused by insolvency. There might be factors in your export claim that require a little more time while we check conditions in the destination country.
