Euler Hermes in GCC

Allianz Trade in GCC countries

Our History
globe

In 2006, Euler Hermes established its operations in GCC by partnering with selected locally licensed insurance companies to act as a reinsurer for issuing Trade Credit Insurance Policies.

Euler Hermes does not hold itself out as the direct insurer nor issuing policies to policyholders in the region.

In March 2022, Euler Hermes changed its brand name to Allianz Trade. The new Allianz Trade brand name is the trademark used to designate a range of services provided by Euler Hermes.

In September 2025, Euler Hermes, incorporated Allianz Trade Middle East Limited (ATME) as a private company limited by shares in the Dubai International Financial Centre and has its registered office at Gate Village 8, 3rd floor, office 14, DIFC, Dubai UAE.

ATME is regulated by the Dubai Financial Services Authority and licensed (DFSA license no. F012039) to conduct the regulated financial services activity of “Insurance Management”.

In accordance with its license, ATME acts as an insurance manager for and on behalf of Euler Hermes in respect of its reinsurance arrangements with its local insurance companies.

Euler Hermes has delegated responsibility for the underwriting, administration and servicing of these reinsurance arrangements to ATME.
