Sustainability – assessment of environmental, social and human rights issues
(1 - 2 days)
Environmental, social and increasingly also human rights aspects are playing an ever more important role in projects with international funding as well as export finance and insurance and are becoming a matter of public concern. Additionally, these aspects gain more and more importance for viability and risk assessments, too.
In our one or two-day training courses on the subject “Sustainability – assessment of environmental, social and human rights issues” we take this development into account. The training course can be tailored to your needs, it includes theoretical background knowledge as well as practical examples and exercises and will be completed by a comprehensive case study.
In the theoretical part we will give you a brief overview of the main features of export credit guarantees as well as the practical relevance of the assessment of environmental, social and human rights issues. Besides, you will learn all you need to know about international environmental and social standards (e.g. IFC Performance Standards), the OECD Common Approaches, the Equator Principles and the monitoring process. In addition to that, the main features of an environmental and social management system and its possible integration into business processes will be explained.
Practical examples and exercises bring variety to the theoretical part. It goes without saying that there will also be enough time to answer your questions and give explanations. If necessary, the topics prevention of bribery, current trends (e.g. climate protection and human rights) as well as an interactive case study can be added to the training course. All training topics can be designed to meet your specific needs and requirements.
